Catdependence Day celebrates the founding of Catopolis, which was four years ago, on 14 July 2022.

When Catopolis was founded, it had five provinces, Clawford, Felinea, Purrshire, Pawsland and Whiskerhaven. On 18 March 2025, Meowton joined as the sixth province. During the United Republics period (26 December 2024 to 24 July 2025), Catopolis released its claims on Felinea and Pawsland, as they were in Antarctica, and therefore unreachable and ungovernable by any Catopalian authority.

Did you know?

• Aquria-Catopolis celebrates three founding days, being Catdependence Day (for Catopolis, the 14th of July), Equaria Day (for Aquria, the 28th of June) and Unification Day (for the Union of the countries, on the 25th of July).

• Catopolis coincidentally shares a national day with France, i.e., Bastille Day, which is also today.
