Beanwai Receives Letter of Credence
4 August 2026
-
Today the Kingdom of Beanwai has received a formal Letter of Credence from the Solomonic Suzerainty of Astra-Azuma.
After reaching out to the Solomonic Suzerainty of Astra-Azuma in June of this year, the Queen of Beanwai, Her Majesty Yvonne, met with Astra-Azuma Minister of Foreign Affairs Countess Kevla's Cantina on 3 August 2026. During the meeting, Beanwai was offered a Letter of Credence, serving as a formal recognition of Beanwai by Astra-Azuma.
The Solomonic Suzerainty of Astra-Azuma is a dependency of the Solomonic Imperium of Q'attera-Macusiaa, which was founded in 1979. According to the Beanwai Gazette, the Solomonic Suzerainty now serves as an 'experimental extension' of the Imperium, in which novel 'governance and nation-building' methods are explored.
The Solomonic Suzerainty of Astra-Azuma follows a formal process for the engagement of diplomatic relations, wherein its Triumvirate reviews each request, determining the suitability of each nation according to their standards, which are based on the principles of the Montevideo Convention, which, agreed-upon in 1933, contains a popular definition of 'nation,' among other fundamental rules nations should follow.
According to the Beanwai Gazette, during their meeting, Minister Kevla's Cantina offered the following words to Queen Yvonne:
...I compliment you on what you are doing... As Ambassador to the Suzerainty, I would like to offer you... a Letter of Credence as a formal recognition.
In its release in the Beanwai Gazette, the Government of the Kingdom of Beanwai said,
The Kingdom of Beanwai extends its sincere gratitude to Countess Kevla and the government of the Solomonic Suzerainty of Astra-Azuma for their confidence and friendship. We look forward to strengthening the relationship between our nations and exploring future opportunities for cooperation.
On 10 May 2026, the Kingdom of Beanwai and Aquria-Catopolis signed a Treaty of Friendship, outlining a cooperative and mutually beneficial relation between the countries.
