Parliament voted yes to relinquish the Aqurio-Catopalian claims of the Antarctic provinces Felinea and Pawsland, citing possible dispute with the Antarctic Treaty, other nations' claims, and other issues.

The proclamation:

A Proclamation
FOR the relinquishing of Aquria-Catopolis’ claim of the Pawsland territory and the Felinea territory in Antarctica.

WHEREAS the Pawsland and Felinea territories have no permanent population and cannot be legitimately claimed by Aquria-Catopolis as part of Aquria-Catopolis;

WHEREAS the Pawsland and Felinea territories are not beneficial to Aquria-Catopolis;

WHEREAS the claim of the Pawsland and Felinea territories may in the future result in disputes regarding the Antarctic Treaty and other nations' claims;

AND WHEREAS Parliament has thought it fit to, due to the above reasons, relinquish the claim of the Pawsland and Felinea territories.

We, therefore, have thought it fit to issue this our Official Proclamation, and we do ordain, declare, and command that on and after the thirteenth day of August, two thousand and twenty-five, the claim on the territory of Pawsland shall be relinquished, and the Constitution Act, 2025 shall be amended to reflect this.
