Basic requirements

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided upon the following basic requirements for a foreign entity in order to be recognised and/or in order for diplomatic relations to be carried out:

An existence of one (1) year or more.
- This is defined as documented existence, with clear, real history.
- "Real history" also includes, but is not limited to:
  - Truthful statistics.
  - Truthful statements.
  - Truthful telling of history.
A satisfactory upholding of human rights in laws and policy — symbolic and otherwise.
- This means:
  - No racist or hateful policies or laws, even if only stated; policies and laws must uphold equality.
  - No declarations or other documents promoting racist or other hateful ideas, even if only stated.
  - A proper recognition of human rights as fundamental.
  - A proper upholding of human rights.
Nothing of direct concern to — and nothing undermining, attempting to undermine or threatening to undermine the sovereignty, security or wellbeing of — Aquria-Catopolis or its allies.

Favourable requirements

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided upon the following favourable requirements, which give any foreign entity more favourability in our view. Please note that these are not necessities; we simply believe that they are nice to have.

A defined governing structure.
A law, declaration or other official statement, not conflicted by other such media, that recognises human rights as fundamental and that declares the commitment of the nation to such rights.
A ratified or draft constitution or other such document.
An active population and government.
A record of historic events.

Please include the following information:

Proof that the basic requirements are met.
If applicable, proof that any of the favourable requirements are met.
Government, cultural or other websites of the nation, as well as other media run by the government, including social media.
A short summary of history and of government, including both legislative and executive branches.
A short summary of divisions, including the nations name, states/provinces, etc., and the significance of or reason for these divisions.
What you hope to gain from such relations and what you wish to do in cooperation with Aquria-Catopolis.
- For example:
  - A mutual recognition agreement.
  - A friendship agreement.
  - The spread of knowledge of your nation.
Any other information you feel should be made clear or you feel you should share.

Furthermore, please note that all decisions are at the discretion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Aquria-Catopolis, and therefore, the Parliament of Aquria-Catopolis. Any decision made may be revoked or altered by the Prime Minister and, in turn, by Parliament.
