Today it has been declared by Proclamation that the date July the 25th shall be heretofore known as Unification Day.

Unification Day is to be a national holiday to celebrate the union of Aquria and Catopolis on the same date in 2025. Unification Day aims to celebrate the unique and different diverse cultures of both Aquria and Catopolis, and unity.

The Day is to be marked with a ceremony during which the national anthems of Aquria and Catopolis are played, along with patriotic songs and food.

Proclamation

It was declared as follows:

"A Proclamation

FOR the declaration of a national holiday to be known as Unification Day

WHEREAS, by an act of the Parliaments of the United Republics of Aquria-Catopolis, passed on the twenty-fifth day of July, two thousand and twenty-five, united and formed the country of Aquria-Catopolis;

WHEREAS it is in the interest of Aquria-Catopolis that that day be officially adopted as a national holiday;

AND WHEREAS such a holiday would commemorate and celebrate the creation of Aquria-Catopolis, the unification of Aquria and Catopolis, and the identities of Aquria and Catopolis:

WE, THEREFORE, have thought it fit to issue this our Official Proclamation, and we do ordain, declare, and command that on and after the sixth day of September, two thousand and twenty-five, the twenty-fifth day of July of every subsequent year shall be a national holiday called Unification Day."
